The Ramah Experience
ProgramsThe environment at Camp Ramah in the Berkshires encourages independence, social development and behavior awareness throughout all our programs.

Ta’am Ramah
For entering third graders, Ta’am Ramah (Taste of Ramah) gives first time campers an eight day “taste” of the Ramah experience, guided by nurturing, experienced staff for this first time sleep-away camp experience. Campers learn why so many children return to Ramah summer after summer and return home talking about next summer.

Ta'am Ramah dates for 2009 are August 2-9, 2009.
Tuition for Ta'am Ramah is $1,025.00

Breira B’Ramah
For children with ADHD and other related learning and social challenges, Ramah presents Breira B’Ramah (Choice in Ramah), a four-week program designed for campers entering fourth through sixth grades. Breira campers are integrated into the regular Ramah day, guided by dedicated, trained staff. Breira campers receive ongoing socials skills guidance, support for achieving attainable goals, and the tools necessary to strengthen their Jewish identity like any other Ramah camper.
For further information, contact Dr. Beth Jaret, Director of Breira B'Ramah, at breirabramah@ramahberkshires.org or call us at 201-871-7262 x 205.

Session Options
Campers entering fourth grade can enroll for either first or second session. Campers entering fifth through eighth grades can opt for either single session or the entire season, which is especially helpful for those trying out sleep-away camp for the first time.

Machon trips
Campers entering tenth grade in our Machon division enjoy at least two extended trips out of camp. Past summers have included trips to Baltimore, Pennsylvania, Niagara Falls and Montreal.

CIT/Leadership Training
Our oldest campers, entering eleventh grade in our Gesher division learn important leadership skills, spending time as CIT’s by helping our youngest campers with their daily activities. CIT/leadership training is part of a Gesher camper’s regular schedule.
